Yep, he played the wrong goalie. Besides not being able to score, the flyers took too many penalties. |

Mason had a fine game 1 after carrying the team on his back down the stretch. One could argue to replace him after a poor game 2 but all year he's shown bounce back ability. He ran out of gas.
Caps are a much better team than the flyers. That's why they won |

Dream on Garth. Just another one sided trade for Buffalo in your dreams. Coyle for a couple of Buffalo castoffs and a second or third round pick is not going to do it. Maybe straight up for ROR and we may begin to talk. |

Funny or hilarious, Neuvirth not good enough to be a No. 1 goalie or a backup for the Sabres or GMTM, might expose GMTM's weakness as a talent evaluator. |

Coyle is the last guy the wild would trade.
Least of all for that load of scraps mentioned in this blog.
It would start with Fasching, and add from there. |

Neuvirth was moved to save the tank.
CJ had a great year for us.
He is a good goalie for sure, won a couple games by himself for us last year...but he wasn't moved because he was "not good enough". If anything he was moved for being too good. |

The only thing funny or hilarious about your post is that you think he was tradedbecause he wasn't good enough...if fact, just the opposite; he was too good wining games that we needed to lose..the consolation prize of jack Eichel was worth it. |

Coyle is a big, young, durable and cheap 21 goal scorer. More goals than Kane. The same number as ROR and a few less than Garth's glimmer twins Jackson Eichel and Samson Reinhart. If the Wild look to make changes, it will be with one or more of their more expensive, higher profile players. If the Wild did look to move Coyle, it would not be for the proverbial "bag of pucks" in Ennis and a mid round pick.
In the real world, to get value, you must give up value. Tyler Ennis has ZERO value |

You guys are right for questioning a Garth trade, but you're wrong in your assessment of ROR and Coyle being of similar value. Sure, it easy to just look up goal stats and say, oh, they're about even, must be guys of similar value.
However, a little better understanding of the players also shows that ROR had almost 20 more points and in 11 fewer games played. He is also ranked 9th in the league in faceoffs at 57%, Coyle isn't in the top 100. |

Thank you for explaining hockey to me. My point was Coyle is a good young player. Garth seems to think the Sabres are in line to pick up the likes of Coyle and Fowler for overpaid has beens and mid round picks
